FAQs
What are the steps necessary to execute a successful transition?
Transitioning technology infrastructure can be potentially catastrophic if the proper assessment, planning and management are not put in place. This includes developing a feasibility and business case for the transition, evaluating the best strategy to meet the needs of the business (e.g. move to new location, consolidation, outsourcing to colocation centers), creating a detailed plan with business continuity and risk mitigation built in, and identifying and allocating the appropriate resources to address the myriad of requirements during the course of the transition. A technology transition may include (but is not limited too) data, applications, servers, PCs, networking infrastructure, and telephony.
