FAQs
Can we move our technology infrastructure using in-house resources?
In some cases, the answer is yes. In some cases, the answer is no. Some organizations choose to utilize in-house resources while others work with service organizations whose expertise is in planning and managing a technology transition. The answer to this question is a part of the organization's assessment. Questions to gain insight include: How much time and resources will be needed to ensure a successful transition; Will your staff be required to reassign their day-to-day functions; How will resource reallocation impact your overall business operations; Does your staff have experience in planning and managing a technology transition effort; and, Are you prepared for the risk associated with "shutting down" your systems and moving your technology infrastructure? These are just some of the questions you will need to ask during the assessment phase to determine if using in-house resources or working with a professional service firm is right for your company. For those organizations that answer "Yes" to this question, ITtransitions ® can provide support in assessing the feasibility of the transition, developing the business case for a transition, or in the development of a realistic plan.
